Our partnership with Avalanche Studios Group continued, as we teamed up again to produce marketing creative for the latest expansion of their hit hunting title, theHunter: Call of the Wild. There was great fan anticipation for the new content—Sundarpatan Nepal Hunting Reserve—and we were proud to support the Avalanche team on the pre-release and release phases of their marketing campaign.

This diverse project involved the production of static ads, custom key art and a range of videos. Let’s start with the latter.
Using trailer footage provided by the Avalanche team, we created engaging videos of 30, 15 and six seconds for use across various social media platforms.
News of Sundarpatan had been greeted with tremendous excitement by theHunter community, which had been eagerly waiting for a reserve based in Asia. To build on this excitement, we created custom key art to be used throughout the campaign.
Our key art highlighted the essential features of the new expansion, including the gigantic rolling mountains, the iconic Tibetan prayer flags and the mighty Bengal tiger.
To reinforce messaging and ensure brand consistency, we used our key art across all areas of Avalanche’s marketing campaign: video end slates, display banners and in-console units.
Finally, we created an alternate version of the key art that focused on a novel feature of Sundarpatan: the Tibetan fox. The Tibetan fox has become an internet sensation in recent years thanks to its expressive face that lends itself to social media memes.
Knowing that fans of theHunter would be thrilled by the Tibetan fox’s inclusion in the expansion, our alternate key art placed the iconic canine front and centre. This version was created with theHunter’s social media channels in mind for maximum shareability and community interest. It’s a great example of how important it is to understand the target audience.
For the Sundarpatan project, we produced 30 display banners in various sizes, ensuring they were suitable for use across the internet via programmatic delivery.
In addition to our original key art, we included a version that used everyone’s favourite, the Tibetan fox.
